§ 22-61. Bond required.

  • Prior to the issuance of a permit for any purpose of this article, each person making application therefor shall file a surety bond in favor of the town, in an amount determined from time to time by action of the board of trustees and set out in the town's master fee schedule, and conditioned upon the faithful performance of such work in strict compliance with the plans, specifications, rules, regulations and ordinances of the town and within the specified time limits, and that such person will forthwith repair or replace any defective or unskilled work and that such person will indemnify and save harmless the town against and from any and all damages or claims for damages, loss, costs, charges or expenses that may be brought against it by reason of such work. Said bond may be waived by the mayor or by the board of trustees in the event of small or minor installation or repairs.
